 Highlighting Prahran Mission Programs

The Stables Art Studio provides a creative work space for participants of Prahran Mission to develop and explore their creative natures. The success of this program has enabled participants to exhibit in commercial galleries and further their talent within a range of competitive visual art courses.

The newly opened retro retail store at 284 Victoria Street, Richmond expands on the theme of opportunity into a treasure hunt for all Melbournians. Supported by the Job Supply Program, the Richmond store employs a number of Prahran Mission participants, providing training and future employment opportunities.

Voice Hearers through Voices Vic Groups begin to understand their experience and explore new ways of coping and living. The groups provide a safe space to explore the experience of hearing voices – without judgment or fear – with other voice hearers.

Building today for Future Needs

Commencing January 2010, we will be redeveloping and renovating our premises at 211 Chapel St. This redevelopment is key to our future – from the most basic aspects of ensuring a safe and secure environment for all our participants, volunteers and staff through to the creation of spaces that will meet the needs of those we aim to assist – both now and into the future.

Be a part of Prahran Mission’s vision. Be a part of the vision for our whole community.

Your contribution can make a difference.

With support received from government, individuals and companies towards this project, we now offer you the opportunity to help see this vision through.

Gifts may be pledged over three taxation years thus enabling you to be as generous as you would wish without the necessity of an immediate, total donation.

Gifts to the building appeal are tax deductible within the year of giving, and gifts are confidential unless otherwise authorised by the donor.

Naming rights and other forms of recognition are available including glass bricks which will be placed in the walls of the building featuring the donor’s name. Please feel free to discuss this with us.
